[Vortex Riker]

Information::Lost in space is an interactive, in which survivors must survive on a ship in space.

Backstory::In the year 2037, at the annual science convension of global science, it was predicted that earth would be uninhabitable by the year of 2156, and a total wasteland by the year of 2158, due to deforestization and the mass extraction of non renewable resources that sustain life on earth. Hearing this news, governments across the world collapsed and waged war on eachother, trying to gain what resources they could. This was World War III.

In the year 2045, after seven years of bloody fighting and horror, the New Earth Directorate rose to power. The NED gained global control, the likes of which was never seen before. The Earth saw peace which it hadn't seen since humans first discovered how to kill each other. Focus was put on interstellar travel, as global climate conditions deteriorated.

In the year 2046, the
first interstellar ship (Named Terra's Light) was successfully created, and was sent to the DQX-39 star system, discovered 23 years ago. Research began on cryogenics, as to preserve humans until they reached their destination. Motivated by the recent success of Terra's Light, finished the project in 2047. Humanity now had the means and the ability to travel to other inhabitable planets.

In the year 2047, humanity had but one task left to ensure its survival: To create an Artifical Inteligence capable of maintaining interstellar ships while humanity was in cryostasis.

In the year 2056, Humanity created its first successful A.I., able to think and gather information on its own. Many complications were had, such as violant and immoral A.I. Due to this, the three Asimov laws of robotics were added. This produced a perfectly functioning A.I., and 17 "ARCS" were commissioned by the NED. These "ARCS" would take all of the worlds avaliable resources.

In the year 2065, the 17 "ARCS" were completed. Each "ARC" could hold 34 thousand people and each came with one A.I. By the time each seat was taken, the "ARCS" were ready to leave, to the planet of K-PAX, located in the DQX-39 sector, discovered by Terra's Light, a planet seven times the size of earth, habitable by humans.

The "ARCS" left, leaving the the people who remained to a doomed planet. Earth died off on Tuesday, June 13, 2156, all attemps to make another set of "ARCS" failed as resouces dissipated.

In the year 2277, All but one "ARC" were destroyed in a solar event.

The year is 2327, You are a passenger aboard the Starship "Lost Hope", or "ARC 13".
Widespread system failure has occurred, and cryopods have been damaged. In a last ditch attempt to save itself and to save humanity, the A.I. has unfrozen all humans not dead from cryogenic failure.

You are among the few who have survived, be it a gift or curse.

John Garrison examines the room, and find that the room is lined with strange pods, wih containers below them. His pod is still open, and his container has a green light as opposed to all the other red lights on the other containers. He notices that there are people in the pods, it looks like they have fallen limp inside of them.
