Not scary at all, it is a stupid ass mainstream game that everyone thinks is scary when it isn't at all.
The only games that scared me (not really scared just made me jump) were Cry of Fear and The Grey.

If I were gunning for gore being the scariest, I'd have to say Dead Space 3/2/1 gave me a few jumps in the finishers.

Dead space.

if you run around and keep shooting shit, then you are pretty much set.

But.. if you make the mistake of taking it slow, or looking out a window too long, (i did this on the engineering level, I shat myself) you really get scared. The atmosphere sets in, and you cant really do anything, because fear creeps inside of you. I think scary ambient music only plays when you stand still for like 20 seconds, because thats when I start shitting bricks.

Why hello there insanity
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the deadly light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

If you weren't at least A LITTLE scared your first time playing slender, then you are either lying or didn't play it right. If you play it in the Pitch Black, at midnight, alone, and with headphones on or at the very least, very loud volume, then it is scary. After you play it once or twice though, you're like "Oh, I wonder what can happen next. Oh shit, I turned around and slenderman was right there, didn't see that coming." It's stupid after a couple times because it's so predictable.

Right.

The scp game was much more scary than slender though.

Both of the scp games.
