I really hope this makes people realize that the "right to bear arms" is bad law.

This happened practically as soon as I woke up, it's really strange to think that as I was waking up for school, people were being shot. Tragic event. Children never deserve to lose their lives, especially at such an early age..

Yeah I saw this on the French News this is horrible.

The exact thing happened in France but he only killed 2 kids as I remember.
It was Mohamed Merrah you maybe heard his name.
But he survived 24h in his house and shot 2 cops and he tried to escape and the RAID killed him with a pistol.

I live two towns south of Newtown.
Somber day here in Connecticut.
People just sitting around crying, police presence at schools very prevalent.
I'm just gonna say this: keep the gun control arguments for later. CT has some of the strictest gun laws in the nation, this was simply a matter of a person being a psychopath. Just earlier today in China, a man killed 22 school kids and their teacher with a knife. So please, the argument comes up every time and honestly we don't need to hear it again.
I can assure that any thoughts/prayers are damn well appreciated by the locals, and even those in the surrounding towns as well.

Yeah, I live around the same distance away from Newtown as well.
The shooter is from Newtown but lives in New Jersey, I believe.

Luckily, my younger brother attends a school just 15 minutes from Newtown.
The affected families have my sincere condolences.

You never know how they feel, until you experience it yourself.

The ironic thing is, Newtown is such a peaceful and nice place.
Their recreational centers and denizens are so nice and heartwarming.

Sad that this happened, especially the fact that most of the victims probably did not even understand the concept of death.

On the news, I've seen little kids being interviewed. I don't think they realize at all what happened, or understand that their peers and teachers will never come back to school. They describe it as hearing a "bang bang."
