Please describe exactly what happened, from start to finish:
I was role playing as a cop. I was walking and suddenly heared someone asking a Gun Dealer how to steal, as they were talking, I checked the gun dealer's weapons and then I checked the thief's weapons. The thief had an AK-47 on him so I arrested him for 150 secs. 10 secs after the arrest Youkoso demoted me and then warned me for Random Arresting, I told him that the other guy had an illegal weapon so he said "yeah yeah" and removed it. 3 secs after removing my warning, he warned me again for Job abuse as a cop or something along those lines (NOTE: I was not a cop when I got warned the second time so he removed the first one to issue another one with a different description) He said that arresting someone for 300 secs is too much (NOTE: 1. I arrested the thief for 150 secs. 2. I can pick whatever time I want)

My point point still stands. Arresting someone without warning and giving them a relatively long jail sentence for a relatively minor offense is just too much. ESPECIALLY when you could have confiscated the weapons or given a shorter jail sentence. Now, when it comes to the re-warn, I automatically type "Random arrest" instead of "Cop Abuse". I did however fix that error up upon being complained about (as it wasn't technically a random arrest, just an excessive use of force and bad RP).

(Think punishment with me for a second guys. Murder is 300 seconds. In a real situation, that would be life (or in some cases multiple life-sentences on top of each other). Compare that to possessing an illegal firearm (not an extremely serious offense unless you are a convicted felon), which will land you a maximum of five years. Is a twenty year sentence (Or eighty for that matter) the equivalent of double a (max) five year sentence? not rly n0 ok xdxd

Marsh I pretty sure in the rules that arrest time is up to the CPs and if gunkiller wants to arrest for 300 secs to discourage crime he can do that.

That's all fine and dandy as long as it's bound by common sense rather than malice. "You're allowed to defend yourself and your property" (paraphrasing) is also something that goes around a lot.
By that logic, I can TECHNICALLY drop a gun or fifty dollars or something in the street with a sign next to it saying "Mine, don't touch", and shoot anyone that ever comes by to take it.

Yeah, there's no rule saying maximum you can be arrested. It's just really fucking annoying when cops arrest for 300 seconds for anything less than murder.

It may be annoying but you guys are missing the point, The point is MARSH warned Gunkiller for doing his job how he saw fit when it says that sentence time is determined by the CP. I have played with several mayors that have ordered all arrests to be 300 secs too discourage crime. Marsh you said the guy was a thief when in a previous he said a man with a criminal record would get a harsher sentence if caught with a gun so said thief would in good RP have a criminal record thus warranting a harsher punishment

Being a thief doesn't necessarily mean you have served jailtime, or even a criminal record. Plus, I said felon. Do you know what a felony is? Apparently not. A felony is way more serious than petty thievery.
