Will there ever be taxes from which the Mayor would gain money? And if there will be, are there any details?(asking this because I'd like to suggest something if there will be.)

Ok, my suggestion was that the mayor could set / group people and set different amount of money they have to pay for the taxes(example:hobos would pay less if the mayor wanted to)

My second suggestion would also be that if the mayor wanted to, he could set who(from the governmental jobs) would receive money from the taxes (example an ems receiving money to be able to supply more people with medicine

Yeah. That would be enough of an income for the mayor.
Maybe, also the mayor would need to give a reason(he can make one up) to raise up the taxes? Would add at least a bit more RP meaning into it?

Why not let the mayor select the cop's loadout during lockdowns and out of them, maybe even set loadout based in their team ranks?

Rodrigo, I like that idea, having actual ranks/loadouts. It would definitely be an interesting/more in depth idea. It'd also give the cops more reason to roleplay more in their jobs to have a chance of advancing through the ranks. As far as taxes in relation to what Drake said, it seems like a cool idea, however I absolutely hate mayors that sit there DERPING their entire time. I like mayor's who influence the roleplay of the server. If you really, really wanted to put a time-limit on mayor, make the time-limit an election of votes to see if another candidate can beat the current mayor's support or not. Otherwise good mayors would get screwed over.

-1 in the first week of me getting on the server (i got banned btw) I went on a server that had taxes every 30 minutes. It was not cool for anyone BUT mayor and people did not enjoy it.

I think having a post box that you "have" to put money in every hour but if you have no money or your above the law (I.e. gangster) you wouldn't but it can be optional.

Dude I read it. I am not a nimwit like you. I am not for it. I stated a alternative that seems less automatic way. Gangsters are not paid from jobs they are paid by their boss. Hobos were in there because they are someone who is not paid from a job.

What is the point of tax?

Honestly, it's unnecessary. What this would do is give the mayor the right to decide the pay for everyone. It's not a legitimate tax system because the DarkRP server doesn't have a taxable economy. Literally, this is just rewriting the basic income system so that it's customizeable by the mayor. He'd tax the shit outta everyone to get him money, or he'd favor those he liked, reduce taxes, and drop those he doesn't like or doesn't agree with.

With an automated economy taxes are simply defunct.

EDIT: Put simply, this is a 'hands-free' economy in which no government has to regulate it. This is because instead of having any form of skill differentiation it has a set income for everyone. This also means that if all the gun dealers agreed to raise their base prices 200bucks then peeps couldn't do shit about it- it makes the raised bar the base of sales. Now the reason taxes wouldn't work percentage-wise is because it would literally be taking three or four dollars off our pocket every five minutes. Might as well just rewrite the set incomes to a few dollars lower and give the mayor/cp ten or twenty higher. The income here is based on the free market and not our pocket- in other words, our teeny tiny income is nothing compared to our market sales.

If there's any tax at all it would have to be tightly regulated on items sold rather than money gained because that both makes more money and differentiates from person to person- in other words, it's not automated. So you'd have to make it that for every Deagle sold at 290, 20 dollars is demanded from the mayor. But this wouldn't work because who the fuck wants that? The Mayor? Yeah that's not even gonna happen.

The only benefitting from this is the mayor so yea, fuck the mayor
