I had a friend who wanted to start PC gaming, he insisted on buying a mac. He came to school every day yelling about the OS snow leopard or what ever. The very first day he tried playing games on it he decided to sell it, that's how shit it was. He lost like 700$.

Check the Mac-section on Steam. There's actually a decent amount, nowadays. Plus, a lot of ports are added to the app-store.
