[ADDED] [REQ] Non-lethal firearms
Alright, I'm putting this up because there's a lot of CP's that can't stun someone for their lives, and it'd be nice to have a good alternative to shooting and a means of riot control during lockdowns. Perhaps a non-lethal shotgun of sorts would suffice, as in, if enough of the spread hits it would knock them down like the stun-stick, or even just slow them down for a short period of time? I think it could be a very useful tool if done correctly, or even a similar idea. A tazer-slug would also be viable, though I could see abuse in this, as with any other new idea. Thoughts? Suggestions? Bad idea? XD

How about a bean bag gun that slows them down upon impact, but too many or one to the head will know them out? Maybe it could be default loadout for a certain level CP.

It could be attainable by level 3 CP only, or perhaps they'd get it during a lockdown, or the mayor could supply them? I think it's a good idea if done properly. Also, it wouldn't be overpowering the CP unless abused, which we have rules in place to take care of. As John said, it's not realistic for cops to run around derping for a good amount of time swinging around a stun baton to hit someone. Most people do what I call "Minge-running" because you can't spring sideways or turn a lot while doing so, but since all you have to do his hold your run key, it's often hard for the CP's to actually hit someone even with their speed boost. Having a few with bean-bag/tazer shotguns with limited range or something would help remedy this and lessen the need to use lethal force.

It would make raid-arrests easier, because someone can just blast you in the face while you try running up to them.

@ Capone, I do not see how this would make them more OP so to speak. Let's put it in these terms. There are 30 slots of hobo/gangsters I do believe, and 10 CP slots. Giving them a non-lethal firearm wouldn't make them OP, it would reduce the need to shoot first ask questions later. Rubber bullets, bean-bag shotguns, tazer rounds are all realistic and would save the CP the effort of the HURRRDURR STUN STUN STUN STUN I'LL GET HIM EVENTUALLY STUN STUN STUN. If anything they'd probably have limited range and wouldn't kill you. There is a way to limit things as well, not all CP's have to get them or there are certain requirements/permissions etc.

As long as it has restrictions. Like you said, only during lockdowns will they have it is fine rather than it being abused whenever someone steals a microwave or something. As they said before, just makes a CP more OP unless it has restrictions on it.

And I believe it WOULD make them OP if they had it al the time because they could just wip it out and put you down from a good distance whenever you try to flee when stealing something or after doing something illegal.

Another idea would be to only give them 1 shot with it so that they can't abuse it.

So -1 if there are no restrictions,
but +1 if there are restrictions. (If you're allowed to do that.._

If you want a guarantee, buy a toaster.

If you think CP's are OP you've never dealt with all the rules that allow you to be killed and that make arrests nearly impossible. Being a witness to anything, being near a future crime-site, etc. And, the game gets a bit laggy at times making it impossible to stun people. You'll chase them for 2 hours and give up and kill them. NON-LETHAL doesn't mean they'll be more OP, hopefully it will mean they'll be more RP. I don't see why anyone would be worried about a non-lethal weapon. I can outweigh any bad point with several good points easily.
