Issues with my name.

A few days ago on your Role Playing server, I was told that my name "Chupacabra Pianist" was "An unrealistic role playing name". I went on to ask what made it unrealistic and apart from repeating themselves and telling me it was an unrealistic name, they were unable to explain why it is unsuitable to use.

Since Drake was not on, we were unable to come to an understanding in game, so I've decided to take matters to the forums.

The admin confronting me seemed to think it is unsuitable because "Pianist" is a word, and because he'd never heard of anyone with either of those names. Let's look at his name "Wez Shambles" first of all, I have never heard of anyone with the last name "Shambles". Also, like "Pianist", it is also a word (A scene or condition of complete disorder or ruin)http://www.thefreedictionary.com/shambles.

So unless he has special privileges because he is an admin, I see no reason in his argument.

One of the admins complaining seemed fond of using Facebook as a reference to determine whether the name is suitable. If you search Facebook for both names respectively, then you will find that there are people in this world that have that name, not to mention the people in this world that don't use Facebook.

Since they were both unable to provide me with a definition of what a name should be, I have some here.

Here is Websters definition:
Name: a word or phrase that constitutes the distinctive designation of a person or thing.

"A word or phrase". It would seem as though my name fits that definition perfectly.

Here is Wikipedias' definition:
"A name is a word or term used for identification.

Again. "Word or term". Again, my name is perfectly acceptable.

Here is one last example"

Dictionary.Reference:
Name: "a word or a combination of words by which a person, place, or thing, a body or class, or any object of thought is designated, called, or known."

"A word or combination of words". In all three examples my name is perfectly acceptable to use as my role playing name. I have used it on the internet for a very long time, and would like to continue using it.

That is not a normal name, it is a stupid name. Just pick a regular good rp name and stop being an asshole. The admins are just doing their job and you could do your job by doing what they tell you without trying to fight back.
