Threaded Mode | Linear Mode

I fixed everything else with my new computer except the damn ethernet port. Whenever I plug in my ethernet cord it doesn't read it even though it works on my other desktop just fine. I could just get a usb wifi adapter and have it like that, but I might have a problem later on when I can't use one of those. Anyone know how to fix the port? Should I just buy the adapter or get send it back to Newegg for a replacement? Anyways, in other news I have a billion times faster internet now, my old download speed was 90kb/s if I was lucky, now it is 2-3mb on average.

use a USB drive with driver doctor on it then it will read what drivers you need. then put to an internet connection enabled compouter to download the drivers. then put those drivers on the flash drive and profit.

How big would the drivers be usually? I'm not sure if I have a usb big enough, I will give it a shot tomorrow though. Also I forgot to mention that it worked the first time I booted up the computer but then it randomly stopped and never worked again. My old modems ethernet cord had a usb to plug in along with the ethernet plug and the usb part got super hot to the point where it burned me when I touched it. I think that might have damaged it or something.

Just google the name of your motherboard and append "Internet drivers" on a computer with Internet then put the drivers on some flash memory and install on your other computer.

You really don't need driver doctor if you don't have the space for it.

Of course, if you don't live in america your internet is going to be atleast three times faster. (unless you live in a third world country)

Ok well I got a wifi adapter now so I can use the internet on this computer, driver doctor/finder said they were all up to date. Also every once in a while(couple of hours) I get disconnected from the internet and need to unplug my adapter and plug it back in which might cause me some problems in the future, anyone know how I would be able to fix that? I'm not sure if it is the adapter or my computer.

Speedtest.net measures in megabits, not megabytes. Divide your score by eight to get the more accurate result.
