No one takes the rep system seriously, and whenever someone gets butthurt about another player they just rate them -1 over and over. Or people and their friends will just +1 each other so they get high reps.

Well hell, if anything that means there's an issue with it. I honestly find it funny. xD I was a good thief and stole a shitload of printers from some guys- got downvoted. Tis cool, it means I'm obviously good enough a thief that they dislike me. However, I think if anything it could be integrated with the roleplay! As in instead of Star and Dumb it could be like a karma system you see on forums and sites, Friendly or Dangerous- or something of the like. At the moment it has nothing to do with the RP and instead is more of a metagaming butthurt system. Get a peep warned or kill them brutally? He/she'll rate dumb. That's some metagaming bullshit.

So yeah, I think it could be revamped because at the moment its only purpose is as Reagent said- a cheap, useless, and childish method of revenge or a pointless show of friendship.

Its like anger management, every time someone gets outplayed they feel an anal pain.

To soften that paint hey have to get back at you in a way its allowed.

So they dumbrate you, but who besides Wazzy cares about the REP system

xD I am just saying that for the most part I just ignore it. But when it's brought to attention I admit it doesn't really have a purpose within the RP. Generally the butthurt player rages first, and when he loses his argument or is warned he downvotes. So under my two week experience with this gamemode I feel as though it could definitely be improved or better integrated into the RP.

It has no RP purpose, no. But I don;t feel there's any point in combing it with RP in the form of a karma system because it's not MEANT to be apart of RP. It's just a little side score people can have a joke about.

It doesn't even really matter just keep it. There is no point in taking it out if it really doesn't affect gameplay.

I have have -64 right now haha, mostly because I'm as thief and i go around mugging people and they qq saying it's RDM. Then they -1 me because no action is taken against me.
