Okay. At around 4:00 today I was dun having fun shooting a bb gun in the back yard at two tin cans.

The guy behind me reports me to the cops. (apparently I was leaving cracks in his windows, and I only have a pistol bb gun. It doesnt even have air canisters, you just pull it back and it gets a bit of pressure.)

Thing is, the angle I was shooting at would never have hit is window.

but the polic dun com and knock on my door asking if we saw anything.

Am I screwed?

A little bit, I've shot my neighbors window and house once or twice with an 550 FPS airsoft rifle. All I got was some gay black guy at my door getting pissed off.

The thing is, at the distance, it is impossible to put chips in a window with a hand charged bb gun.

Go ahead and shoot your own window, plastic bb's are virtually incapable of breaking a window if they aren't powered by air canisters.

had a "history" with the neighbor reporting strange things/making whack-ass accusations. It helps.

Depending on the city laws you can get in trouble for it. Some cities it's illegal to shoot a paintball gun within city limits, but if you admitted already you were shooting shit to the cops an he does have chips in his windows your pretty screwed. It's called the right to remain silent bro

Nah. They can analyse the power of the weapon. If the neighbours statement conflicts with what's physically possible, nothing will happen.
So basically, unless the neighbour states he spent four hours straight firing plastic pellets from point-blanc rang at a single spot in the window, nothing is likely to happen.
Then again, America is a shit country with dumb people, I don't know how your justice system works. It may be based on irrationality for all I know.
