A Question on Traps...

Well, reading over the Official Rules I see nothing about Prop-Killing. However, I know it's illegal because it's never been legal.

So, that brings up the question of traps. Are they legal?

For instance, if you put an obvious text screen saying something like: "You will die if you press this button", is it prop-killing if a piano falls on them? Cause it's their fault they didn't heed the warning.

Before the anti prop killing in gmod 12 I had a base that would slam a prop thus killing the person and there was a warning that it would happen.

For me it depends on the way its used, there must be way to bypass the prop killing you

It would not be allowed unless it was roleplayed extremely well otherwise it's just an excuse to minge and kill people. In fact I have a hard time coming up with a roleplaying scenario in which it would be acceptable to make that kind of trap, but there might be a couple.

Either way you should always ask an admin when you're doubting if it's allowed or not and preferably admin+ since moderators are usually pretty new.
