Please describe exactly what happened, from start to finish:
I was RPing a cop. They was a trader called Meat Coaster, he was following me saying that I was a chicken nugget, he was doing his for about 40 seconds, he also called me a slut. So I arrested him for 30 seconds with the reason "Calling me a chicken Nugget". After I saw that it did not give the reason, I asked how long he was in for. I got no answer so I just assumed it was for 300 seconds. I started to head to CP and I got messages in group chat from Ryouichi Shodan (Who was mayor) saying they was no charge, I was said it was a glitch, and I was about to put in group chat that I was coming to unarrest him, when I was demoted.
I believe this was unfair as he was insulting/harrasing me, if the admin did not know this, he could of asked why I did it. I know he made one attempt, but they was alot of noise and other people asking over mic, he could of also seen I was typing about how long I arrested him for, and seen from this that I may not of meant to do it. Also I only intended to arrest him for 30 seconds. I think the situation was badly dealt with, and could of been avoided if he has just asked me about why I did it more, or used a more direct method such as freeze message.

Was this a demote by mayor demote or admin demote. Because if it is class demote there's nothing wrong with it. Also just a tip when u are copy and pasting the chat please don't have anything there that has nothing to do in there.

Was it against the laws to disrespect CP, if not then I don't think you were allowed to arrest him in the first place. Maybe stunning, but arresting should only be reserved for people who are breaking laws.

I demoted him because he arrested someone for 300 seconds, and over mic he said something to the lines of "now he wont be able to make fun of me" after I tried talking to him about it, he then said "I only meant 10" which doesn't line up with what he said before over mic. Also, the rule board said nothing about disrespecting police, which is why I considered it job abuse. Though, since it was a semi-trivial thing, I only demoted, and didn't warn him.

Let me correct you on this statement, i was mayor at the time. My laws say: Respect the government

I've msged him in group chat, and told him to use /charge name time reason. Yet he was demoted by the time.

I'am not saying it was wrong of you to do so, I am saying the situation could of been dealt with much better, also it was illigal to insult CP, and they was no laws limit specified for arrest times.

From what has been said, this was an unjustified demotion as one of Burn's laws was to respect the government. CP's can arrest for as long as they wish if the charge is valid, whether you consider it realistic or not. No further action will be taken but TwoD is reminded of what I said is is not to act as he did again.
