Static problem
My mic creates a shit ton of static on my new computer, but works fine when I use it on xbox. Could this be caused by the audio or microphone jacks having loose wires? I was kind of rough when I was taking off the cover with all the jacks and usb ports on it and might of screwed up some of the wires a little bit, but as far as I can tell they look fine and are glued on there. I have tried both my mics (Turtle Beach x11 and x12) and they both make the static which I can also hear a little bit. Anyone know a way to fix this? Don't say send it back, because there is a computer place near me that I could get to check out my pc sometime if I ever have them install a new motherboard or PSU for me which is probably going to happen soon.

RE: Static problem
I plugged my mic into the ports at the back and I am going to try and test them with Xeano to see if it still makes static

RE: Static problem
I am guessing you are using turtle beach's? Try plugging them into a dedicated soundcard and use them through that. Fixed my problem.

It's not the fuzzy noise in the backround when you have the game sound up high, I am talking about really bad random static noises whenever I talk to people and they can hear it too. ![]() Quotes Spoiler:
