The characters, first of all, are poorly designed. Why? Because you find little to now flaw in them, and there's no range in character.
The villains are about as deep as the talent pool of Jersey Shore, and their only motives for doing the shit they do is "Because it's the evil thing to do muahahahaha i'm evil". How dumb is that.

Power is horrendously scaled. "Oh shit this guy has enough power in a single attack to take down an entire planet with ease"

Making omnipotent characters sucks.
Oh, and when they actually fight other characters (inb4 90% of the series is a battle scene) their power is scaled down so that it will actually be a proper fight. this is just the writer being a dumb cunt who both wants an anime and invincible characters, but it doesn't work
one of the big 'bosses' can bring people and planets back from the dead but is destroyed by a couple of measly little fucks for no apparent reason lol ok

the entire plot is a ripoff of Superman, and there isn't even that much of a plot since almost the entire show consists of battle scenes

There is literally no character development. inb4 "he gets strongur betwin batles". Buuuullshit, that ain't character development, character development is about their actual character.

dragon ball is mediocre, but infinitely better than dbz
