Jobs: Prior to implimentation.
Some of you know, some of you may not. In order to help keep the same sense of roleplay the community is used to and to keep people from spreading out on their own the launch of the server will have jobs implemented, unlike darkrp these jobs cannot be changed except by a roleplay administrator's approval and with a bit of roleplay training.
At the moment the jobs I have planned are as follows. Miner Warrior/Guard Lumberjack Blacksmith Enchanter Brewer/Potion Master Mage/Sorcerer (Note, smaller magics will be available to everyone.) Thief (Special class, requires speaking with me first.) Citizen (The only job capable of choosing a specific job on their own.) Farmer Notice, none of the above are government/officials, at the moment we've not decided how we will handle them, while there will be a single starter city when we open it will not have anyone over it. I want your opinions on additional jobs, remember that the jobs will restrict what each user can craft/use and possibly how much damage they can do with weapons. Mcmmo is a possibility, and I will take any other suggestions. The system of economy hasn't been decided yet, most likely it will be either a barter economy or a system of trading experience. Few things anger me, but you should fear to tread where others have not. |

RE: Jobs: Prior to implimentation.
That's part of what the citizen class is for, to allow you all to do anything that doesn't require a specialization, like managing a city, trading and selling goods, etc.
Oh, forgot to add farmer. Fixed. Keep in mind, its going to be set up so blacksmiths can only be blacksmiths, miners can only mine and only they can do that job, etc. Few things anger me, but you should fear to tread where others have not. |

RE: Jobs: Prior to implimentation.
A knife? Unless it was added recently there aren't any knives. I am allowing the use of every tool up to stone for every job, just nothing beyond so its very impractical to try to live alone.
Note, you can't mine with anything less than an iron pickaxe, and the mobs are harder so a sword weaker than iron is virtually useless, you also can't wear anything beyond leather unless you are a fighter job. Few things anger me, but you should fear to tread where others have not. |

What will the rules of pvp be?
It seems like the warriors and thieves have a huge advantage. Uguu~ hall of fame:

RE: Jobs: Prior to implimentation.
You could separate jobs into two classes: offense and utility.
They could select one of each. Then you could elaborate on classes if you'd like without cluttering it up too much. It would also give the laborers a chance in combat. RE: Jobs: Prior to implimentation.
The rules of pvp are listed in the todo list thread along with the rules on theft, to add to that pvp isn't possible unless both parties agree and logging out during pvp kills you.

RE: Jobs: Prior to implimentation.
Could maybe add timber mod it basically knocks a whole tree over when you hit its base with an ax.

RE: Jobs: Prior to implimentation.
Yes and no. I love the idea, but have never found one that was properly logged. (Which means it can be used to grief.)

RE: Jobs: Prior to implimentation.
You say that there will be one starter city.
Does that mean that if people collect enough materials, they will be able to go found their own? Also, I'm leaning towards a bartering economy. (Staff) Moosey Clause: drake you cheeky cunt if you dont give me my fucking ragdolls ill come to london and reck u m8

RE: Jobs: Prior to implimentation.
Bartering economies are recommended now that we have renewable resources- ie, gold. Since gold can be obtained from places other than mining it's the best for bartering considering it has absolutely no other uses.
