What happened with NLR?

It seems the general rules of NLR have changed since GMOD 13 hit.


How it was in GMOD 12

>Gets killed in house by raiders
>Forgets everything about previous life
>Heads home, because that's allowed
>Doesn't buy a gun or call the cops, because thats breaking NLR
>Sees people in house once he gets there
>Proceeds to beat the shit out of them with the fists, find a gun on the floor, or leave to go seek a gundealer or come back with cops (Keep in mind, this is AFTER seeing the intruders.)

How it is now

>Gets killed in house by raiders
>Forgets everything about previous life
>Goes back to house
>Sees intruders
>Can't do anything, make small talk with raiders raping my house, shitting on the walls, and burning that shit up
>Can't leave to get a gun, can't beat the shit out of them with my fists, can't grab a gun from a shipment in the home, just quietly and awkwardly stare at the intruders while they rape your shit
>Gently cry myself to sleep

It was changed because it was considered loop holing NLR it's stupid but change is change. Not to mention it makes catching NLR breakers a lot easier.

Tis true. I haven't hardly had a problem with NLR- only newer members or complete jackasses bother nowadays. Still, it sucks when you have to wait outside your home for five minutes while the mob boss finishes burning down the place.

If the mobboss is burning your base, you can interfere. (That's what I have been told by some admin a few months ago)
However, if they are just stealing, you can't interfere because you got killed already.

If you get killed by said mob boss and he continues to light your home on fire, you can't do anything about it no matter what.

Pretty sure that was how it was, because I remember talking with Drake about how gun dealer's were an exception to the getting a gun rule due to their power of spawning guns out of mid air

Same, 99% of the time I don't have a base/home when thief. I usually eat all guns and ammo I find, and destroy printers after picking up whatever is on the ground. Sometimes I lock pick the printer. But regardless I always destroy the printers after I raid.
