So my computer's gaming drive fucked up and is no longer is being seen by my pc, i now have to find out how to fix this. In short i won't be on the server for maybe a week if not a little longer.

Open her up, make sure that shits plugged in.

If don't hear it running when the Compy is on, then you have a problem.

That's your hard drive or you fan/cooling system

I have always been able to hear my hard drive.

When you are writing to your HDD, you can hear the platters being written on, usually.

Open it up, check the sata cable (the blue one going from Motherboard -> HDD) and then check the wire from PSU --> HDD.

It doesn't have to be blue and it looks like this if it's in a new computer

How old is the hdd anyway? Usually they just don't randomly fail there's a time period where you will hear increased noise or you will notice that it's a lot slower, files can also disappear.

Mine is the same as the red although it is blue.
I thought they were all blue. It's plugged into the sata port on your motherboard, it should say SATA next to it

I've seen, black, white, red, blue and green so I don't think there's a specific color haha

I managed to keep it alive for now its just now crashing ever 30 minutes on the dot and my ctrl+alt+del doesn't work when it gets to the 20 minute point it just says prepairing security options and does that forever until i restart it i have all my drivers up to date that i know of, i cleaned the inside of dust, my av says i have no virus and it only started recently, my pc is a only year old and frankly i dont know what the fuck to do.

Make a backup of your most important things immediately because your hard drive is probably broken. If the computer is only one year old then the warranty should cover it.

You said that was your gaming drive but it sounds like you're having trouble with windows as well? Is windows installed on that hard drive too? Maybe you don't have two physical hard drives just two partitions to help keep stuff in order? That's pretty common if you buy a brand computer.

I built this myself though and i just figured out i can play games but it now only does it during gaming.

Ok sorry for assuming that you didn't know what was in your computer.

My advice still stands though, at least create a backup of stuff you don't want to lose, personal files, school/work papers etc.
Just last week I had to go on a rescue mission when a computer in a relatives company died because of a hard drive failure, the only thing that saved a months worth of work was that I had previously set up network access to that computer so I could go in from another computer and get the important files.

TL;DR Create a backup

I would contact the store you bought the hard drive from and try to get a replacement from them, worst case scenario is that you have to send it to them so you might be a hard drive short for a week or two.

I have never claimed warranty on a hard drive so I don't know how easy it is but third party stores are usually very generous when it comes to returning faulty stuff and getting new stuff since they just get the money back from the manufacturer anyway.

Luckily I have a computer place near me so if my computer ever poops out I can have it checked out there.
