Yes, i'm resigning from EC. And that is not because I'm done with it but because I lost my faith in the management of SRH. I'm wearing a rank that i think is not given to me because i earned it but because they needed an EC and I was the best available. A bad feeling if you are supposed to be something you can't be.

In my time of EC i've noticed that every staff member needs to be reviewed. Everyone makes mistakes that is true but a lot of them make huge mistakes that should be avoided. It is not only the blame on the staff members but also on the set of unknown rules. Drake is god, sure i know, he decides what goes or not but this isn't SRH of 2 years ago. Times change and so do the players. For once can't we listen to the people who keep this community running? The donaters.

So what happened that I'm deciding this? Lets start with for the last 2 months i've been a lonely EC. We have 4 but 3 of them are practicaly inactive. I've notified drake and rodrigo about this and that didn't move much. Yes frost got cycled but she doesn't have access to the logs yet. Which doesn't work. Beside I heard that another inactive EC got asked if he could stay because the next possible EC wasn't fit.

Let me rephrase that, having no EC is better then having an EC that might do a bad job. But know one knows whether he/she does do a bad job. I'm sick of being a lone wolf.

Then this DDoS came in, like we haven't had that before only this time it was different. This time it took 2 weeks of ignoring the facts and people to hope it will clear. You know how that felt to me? It was like you are on the bench in soccer and knowing you can do better but you are not in the field. Let me put the facts out. DDoS is hard to defend. But that doesn't mean nothing can be done. I study Network Infrastructure Design & security. So if you don't know what that means, protect against DDoS is my job.

And then. Ignorance... And everyone knows that I'm not the only one pissed. I don't care whether we could have done something against it but ignoring the community and just doing nothing shows you don't care. Resulting in that no one likes to play anymore. Yes i know it has been our policy to stay low. Well good job. our server is empty anyway and i don't feel anything to get players on again.

So I'm done. I might join again if the server gets back on its feet but that is not today. And don't worry, i'm not a richard or a legal user so if you don't take my permissions then i don't care. Just like i'm still a forum mod but i don't use it.

Last for the fools, I'm not leaving SRH, I'm leaving EC.

why I bother even attempting to talk to a very important person any-more is beyond my understanding, I mean, It's not like he listens or replies to anything you say whether it is important or not.

all I understand is that his performance was better in 2011 (and earlier) / early 2012, when he cared more.

Because he's progressively become bored of SRH. However, despite his lack of interest in it he has still soldiered on and managed to keep it going. Up to now at least.

How is it you never put that out in public, you know how you change something? Not by staying silent

I don't care whether it wouldn't have done anything. Not expressing your opinion is surely not going to do it. I don't mind if this thread is ignored, the community now knows my opinion. If they agree or not. It makes them aware of my thoughts and hopefully of the thoughts of the people that are replying

from my perspective, the EC doesn't even exist any-more.
and no one is active or capable of taking the job any-way at this current moment.

If you read my post carefully you notice that they refused to cycle EC because we don't have suitable people apparently. You know rodrigo said something a while ago. It is still posted in my signature so we will see if he is right again

Now it's like "We gotta' be professional up in this shit, no one else is qualified."

Course' you can't show potential if you don't have the chance to.

Fuck, I could do it. I act stupid because I do. Do I need a reason to act stupid, if I enjoy it? Nah. I like being stupid. I am decent outside of spam, but no one ever judges me on that.

What I am trying to say is no one will really know if someone is smart or capable of doing the job if they don't have a chance to prove them self. Just because people have a mass opinion on someone, doesn't make it a fact.

What I am saying, is give people a chance. if they fuck it up, then we will see that fuck up, and we can change it.

Mistakes are made all the time. Do you think the people who made the wheel got it right the first time? Nah, they took their mistake and learnt from it. That is one of the most important lessons of life, learn from your mistakes.

If there's no reason to suggest someone can do it, why should they be trusted to prove them self in a position of power? You all have a chance to prove you can do it by not acting like a moron on the server and the forums. If you don't, there's no reason why you should be given the powers and then prove that you can.
