3DS Max
So I ended up getting the newest one under a student discount. I have worked with cheaper 3D modeling kits in the past and I'm wondering if this high-powered cannon of a kit is going to be over my head or not.
The idea is that hell, I'm going into college for animation, might as well start practicing. (My previous modeling experience was for a game design class.) Any basic tips/tricks? If anybody is familiar with it, share your wisdom. I could definitely use it. Nah, this isn't a DS bro, it's a modeling/animation software that allows you to create cgi movies. It's used for animating video game models and stuff like that. RE: 3DS Max
Well, in the past I have done short 2d animations as commissions- I've never publicized them because if I did I simply wouldn't be able to fill 80% of the requests. I chose to study 3d animation in college for certain reasons (mostly because I have a lot of personal projects that require custom 3D models), and after I'm proficient enough I'll be doing commissions for it as well.
My first on the shelf is a series of Minecraft animations ranging from two to ten minutes. I have no time limit, but it will be a stress test for my abilities over the course of my learning. RE: 3DS Max
I will be posting all future tests on the Internet. The ones I've made previously I cannot as I have no more rights to them (commissions, le sigh).
