Help pls
Ok so its my first time selling something on craiglist and i've just sold my PS3 through PayPal. The problem here is that I have to ship the package to NIGERIA. NOw here is the part i've never done, I have never had expierence in shipping packages at all. So this package needs to be shipped internationally which obviously means that it'll cost a good amount of money but it's worth it. Sorry if this seems like a pretty retarded question and ya know I'M YOUNG *don't judge me =O* But can you guys help me with like steps I should do and a little info on shipping stuff internationally. I'd appreciate it because this will also help me pay for your guy's gifts that I owe you. 380$ is alot for a PS3 =) Also I need to ship it within 2 days

RE: Help pls
Yeah. No.
First, people from NIGERIA don't use Craigslist to buy from people in other countries, almost no one does, and even then they would only do it if its incredibly rare. Second, payment through paypal? NO. All they have to do is file a chargeback. Few things anger me, but you should fear to tread where others have not. |

Even if they did a chargeback I could put a fraud complaint on them and get the money back. They already paid though and I just have to send it then I get the money transferred into my account ![]() "Most people are pussies, scared to be what god made them to be"– Scott Mescudi |

RE: Help pls
you have no idea how phishy this sounds.
for one, you've screwed over your previous steam account to lost / stolen credit card details, now you're handling a PS3 that is being sent to Nigeria? to be honest, I won't be surprised if they charge back or scam you. what I'm trying to say is, I don't think you know how to handle your money securely. it's going to be your fault if you lose over $380 due to a possible scam. if I were in this position, I would try to cancel the transaction immediately. it doesn't matter if you're using paypal or not, only a fool would put their money / profit over their common sense and safety. it's not worth the risk. |

RE: Help pls
Know what I do to keep my money safe? Cash only. No internet purchases except through steam. And no dodgy shipments to Nigeria.

RE: Help pls
Khan, nothing good comes out of nigeria. Its full of lost princes, uncles, and inheritances, all of which don't really exist.
This is one of the best ways to explain what comes out of nigeria. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7KZPff5KtQ Take it from a paranoid money conscious 20 year old. Give the money back, and abort the transaction. Its not worth the risk when you could sell it to someone locally. Beyond that, shipping would cost more than they even paid. 50-60 for basic cross US shipping on that kind of thing, because it has to be marked fragile, add another 200-300 for international normal, and another 100-150 for fragile through international freight, then add another 50-100 dollars in US/Nigerian customs and trade tariffs and you lose money rather than gain it. They will then sell it for roughly ten times the amount you sold it to them for, so your out money from shipping and they gain money from selling. That's not including the chargeback they are going to file right before they terminate the paypal account so the money can't be gotten back. Few things anger me, but you should fear to tread where others have not. |
