Make the server vanilla with a whitelist.

Preposed rules:

-Nobody gets op unless there is an emergency. Whenever somebody gets op it always gets abused and we're forced to restart the server.

-The server should only have basic addons (Username, >greentext)

-If somebody abuses a major duplicating bug, does major greifing (NOT a prank), or crashes the server they should be removed from the whitelist.

-Every member can have their own part of the world, and there will be a village near the spawn with basic farms to help new members get going

-Maybe allow unauthorized accounts if we can find a way to only get the people we want to join (I know there are username/password systems that allow this)

Why?
I'm sick of having to restart all my shit every time we switch to another technical mod. Minecraft has had some of it's own technical stuff added (See: hoppers) and it would be fun to be able to play around with the new features with the SRH community. The server should be more friendly and less competitive to allow all members to have a good time.

-1. Vanilla minecraft has gotten boring to me. If this server were to have some good plugins maybe, but for now I'm just sticking with UE.

Oh just to say, vanilla is alot easier to anti-grief than any modded server period. If its vanilla I could make every single person on the server an op and do it without a whitelist and be content there will be no damage I can't fix in less than a minute.

Throughout however many servers for Minecraft we've had I've always preferred vanilla.

Honestly if people would just make up their minds. (Or if I would just put my foot down.) I could sit down and set up a server that wouldn't have any issues, be lag free for the most part, and never require a single map rollback ever. (mostly.) Its not so hard but everyone wants MODS because they think that once you've accomplished everything in MC that's all there is to it. You're all dead wrong, there's tons more to do once you've beaten the bosses.

Saddam, your fear of plugins is understandable but somewhat unwarranted so long as you avoid anything you can't simply remove if needed.

It's far easier to protect as well. Let's say we do add plugins- make em light, to avoid griefing and stealing. LWC Protection maybe. And- let's say somebody rounds up oh, I dunno, 100 gold. They could buy a plot of land that's protected.

Vanilla minecraft with basic anti-griefing and protection is always nice. We don't need fancy money plugins, we can create a system of trade through in-game resources (with gold nuggets/bars as the currency now that it's a renewable resource). I know I would devote my existence to getting all the music disks. xD

+1 lets just get a damn server up and play already vanilla has came out with alot of new shit and it will be fun to explore all of it!!

if your bored of vanilla its because you just rush threw it and dont take the time to actually have fun, you also may not have anyone to play with, i bet if we make it vanilla like Saddam says then it will be fun as hell to get alot of people on and make an actual city instead of constantly being alone / fighting for who has the best stuff and starting over all the dame time, people dont care about that shit we just want to play and have fun so can we please get this already!!!!

This is idle speculation, not decision. Post a poll if you want vanilla. A word to the wise, once we settle again and everything is set up unless something major comes by to change my mind we're sticking on whats chosen.
