I don't think it's going too well, seeing as hackers can now go into any city they want and destroy it because of always-on DRM! Not only this, but any mention of these "problems" on the EA forums get removed because of their forum ToS. So EA, was it really worth it? I don't think so.

Wasn't the first game they've screwed over.

Pretty damn stupid for a sims game to be online required.

I'm playing Sim City 2013, i think it is great. I have no problems at all with the DRM.
People need to grow up and see that this is going to be the future, i can't inmagion a player playing games without internet anyway.
And then the bugs and glitches, EVERY GAME HAS THEM. The online DRM makes it way harder for players to hack in the first place. It is not like just simply downloading an aimbot for Call of Duty and you are a pro hacker ...

I just hope they make it on a game-by-game basis instead of making the entire console an always-on basis.

Diablo 3, Sim City, and many other examples shown that they aren't ready to do it yet.

The only thing that pisses me off is how small the areas are. I like making massive cities, with unique landscape designs, and afterwards knocking out half a city with a nuclear reactor.

Why hello there insanity
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the deadly light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.
